What Fruit Does for Your Body

An apple a day keeps the doctor away is a common phrase that we’ve all heard. The phrase rings true, but if we had to rephrase it we would say all fruit keeps the doctor away. Fruit is the best source of the vitamins and antioxidants your body needs to fight off disease.  Each fruit contains different vitamins and minerals so it’s good to have a variety of fruit in your diet. Here are a list of commonly consumed fruits and what they do for your body.

Apples: If you are looking to add more fiber to your diet eat more apples. They contain an excellent source of fiber and keep your digestive system running smoothly. Eating the peel with the apple will help build muscle.

Bananas: Bananas contain a healthy dose of potassium which supports the function of the heart. They help regenerate your bones, organs, and cells. Vitamin C is also found in bananas and helps reduce the negative effects of aging.

Grapes: This tasty fruit contains potassium, phosphorus, and iron. Grapes also improve nitric oxide levels in the bloodstream to help prevent blood clots.

Oranges: One of the main benefits of oranges is the high amounts of Vitamin C they contain. Oranges protects your heart and keeps inflammation of the body away.
